WORKSHOP PASTOR 2017

Rev. Dr. Robert Jackson Alwood

Pastor Jack was raised in Suffolk, Virginia, and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College (B.A.) and Union Presbyterian Seminary (D.Min) in Richmond, Virginia.  He has held pastorates in both Missouri and Florida.  Most recently he has been stated supply at First Presbyterian Church in Crystal River, and St. Mark’s Presbyterian in Hudson, Florida.  He is an honorably retired member of the Presbytery of Tampa Bay. 

Jack and wife Claudia enjoy fitness, cinema, outdoor activities and travel.  They have visited Alaska, Canada, Machu Picchu, and Iceland in recent years, and Great Britain is in their sights for later this year.  They have three adult married sons:  Joshua, Andrew and Ben, and one beloved granddaughter, Mae.

Jack enjoys singing bass in the Northwood Presbyterian choir in Clearwater, Florida, where he makes his home.
